While New England is embracing Ghosts of Jupiter wholeheartedly, rock fans across the pond are starting to take notice as well. Nate Wilson recently caught up with John Zois with the Wild Thing Zine Eight Miles High in GREECE. Read the interview for some insight into the formation of the group, the writing and recording process, and the inspiration and meaning of some of the songs that appear on Ghosts of Jupiter.

Rumble On

Last night Ghosts of Jupiter took the stage for night #3 of the preliminary round of the 2012 Rock N Roll Rumble at TT The Bear’s in Cambridge along with The Susan Constant, The Tin Thistles and Letterday, and what a night it was! Everyone sounded great, it’s good to know that there’s so much great music in this great city. For those that stayed until the very end of the night, it was thrilling to hear Anngelle Wood’s subtle declaration, pronouncing Ghosts of Jupiter as the evening’s winner! Look out Boston, there’s much more to come from the Ghosts.

Semi-finals continue on Friday, April 13th, once again in the friendly confines of TT The Bear’s in Cambridge. Tickets are already available, check out the tour date page for full details. Have you heard? Ghosts of Jupiter have been announced as part of the field of 24 bands in the 2012 Rock N Roll Rumble! Anngelle Wood made the official announcement on Sunday night during Boston Emissions and we’re psyched to be a part of the 33rd annual Rumble.

What is the Rumble? It’s the world series of Boston rock!! As they say, it’s “24 bands. 9 nights. 1 crown.” Preliminaries begin on Sunday, April 1st and will run 6 nights until April 7th (Wednesday is our day of rest), followed by semi-finals on Thursday April 12th and Friday April 13th and FINALS on Friday April 20th. All gigs take place at TT the Bear’s Place in Cambridge and we hope to see you there.
